Disclaimer

All screenshots in the article were taken in the Dutch version of Yuki.

From this screen, a user with the 'Portal administrator' or 'Portal back office' role can start the processing of VAT returns.

By default, in principle, all VAT returns of the current month are shown. So the VAT returns with the status 'Draft' still have to be checked before they can be sent to the tax authorities.

TIP!

If a domain specifies that the accountant (with their own Yuki portal) is responsible for preparing and sending the VAT returns to the tax authorities, Yuki will no longer send automatic messages that the returns must be sent.

In the accountant portal, click on Workflow and then click on VAT returns to view, among other things, the VAT returns yet to be sent in the portal domains.

The following screen is opened:

TIP!

It is useful to add the Check date and Comments columns in this screen so that you can see at a glance which VAT returns still need to be checked.

Filters

In this screen you can filter the shown data by:

  • Assigned to: select the user whose workflow you want to view assigned to her or him.
  • Return status:
    • Open: all VAT returns not yet closed (i.e. all other VAT return statuses except 'Closed').
    • Draft: of the current period, the draft VAT return is permanently updated automatically, it has not yet been checked by the back office.
    • Ready to send: a checked VAT return can still be changed by processing corrections and/or processing submitted documents and bank transactions.

      ATTENTION!
All VAT returns that have been checked by the Portal Administrator or Portal back office are automatically sent to the tax authorities from the 26th in the month following the VAT accounting period.
However, if it has been set in the portal that prior approval of the VAT return by the customer is required, the unapproved VAT returns will no longer be sent automatically.

    • Ready to send edited: after approval of the VAT return, changes still occurred.
    • Closed: after confirmation from the tax authorities that the digital VAT return has been successfully received.

  • Domain status:
  • Active

  • Inactive

  • Archived.
  • Period:
  • This month

  • Last month
