Why do I get red lines in my statements? (Beta)

All screenshots in the article were taken in the Dutch version of Yuki.

Yuki always checks whether the opening and/or closing balance of the last bank statement submitted matches the bank balances calculated by Yuki on the general ledger account number on the same day. If this is not the case, the lines in the statements get a different color.

For example, it is quite common that a statement with a opening balance and closing balance on e.g. 03-03-2020 also contains transactions that have a different transaction date. Stornos, for example, often have a transaction date that is related to the original collection date.

If the opening and/or closing balance of the submitted statement differs from the balances on the general ledger account number on the same day, the statement lines are colored red:

  • White: the opening and closing balance calculated by Yuki is equal to the balance supplied by the bank.
  • Red: the opening balance calculated by Yuki does not match the closing balance of the statement line below it or the closing balance calculated by Yuki does not match the opening balance of the statement line above it.

At the top of the screen, click on Ask a question to send the accountant a message that the bank account balance is incorrect.
