Which settings you can specify in a domain depends on the selected bundle (and any additional features added) and the role(s) you have as a user in the domain.
In Yuki, you can define a number of financial settings in a domain that will affect how Yuki works. These include available countries, associated currencies, Yuki's chart of accounts, VAT rates, etc.
In Yuki, a number of payment methods are already available by default for booking sales invoices. Additionally, it is possible to create your own custom payment methods.
When you create your own payment method, it is immediately available when processing or creating sales invoices. Yuki automatically creates a corresponding suspense account in the chart of accounts, ensuring that all transactions are recorded correctly right away.
Exception: Online payment methods (PayPal, Klarna, AfterPay)
Online payment methods are handled by Yuki in a specific way:
- Invoices booked using these methods are not marked as outstanding debtors.
- The revenue is booked directly to the relevant interim account (e.g., PayPal or Klarna), pending payment.
Applicability of custom payment methods
Custom payment methods can be used in the following three scenarios:
- Back office processing: sales invoices that have been uploaded and are processed manually by the back office.
- Sales functionality: invoices created directly within the Sales functionality of Yuki.
- Sales webservice (API): invoices delivered via an XML message. API users can provide the custom payment method via the <PaymentMethod> field.
Permissions and roles
Managing payment options affects the administrative setup. Therefore, only users with the following roles can create and view custom payment methods:
- Back office (in the domain)
- Management
- Financial administration
- External accountant.
In Yuki, you can record the following financial settings:
