Create person (customer or contact person) via contract

Individuals are contacts in Yuki at companies, customers, private individuals, users in Yuki or employee and may or may not be in the personal address book.


In an opened contract, click in the Contact field and then select + Create new from the dropdown menu.


In the now-opened screen, click on the Individual button to add a new contact of type ‘Individual’. 


A newly created contact person will be linked directly to the company for whom the sales invoice is intended.



The individual initial contact information should be recorded and added or changed later if necessary:

  • Picture
    To add the person's pitcure, click in the 'Picture' field and then select the file containing the picture.
  • Name (required)
  • Company
  • Address:
    • Street
    • Postal code
    • City
    • Country (required).

      TIP!
      If the country of the person you want to create is not available add the country by clicking on 'Settings' in the navigation bar and then click on 'Countries' in the 'Financial' section. Now add the country as an active country.

  • Default values:
    • Default invoice layout
    • Default price list
    • Sending method:
      • Email
      • Postal
      • Peppol.
  • Phone and email:
    • Phone (work)
    • Email (work)
    • Website.

Capture not directly address-related data

To capture non-direct address-related data with this person, click on the More fields button. Then select one or more of the fields described below that you want to add to this person.


Postal address

When creating a sales invoice, this address (street, zip code and city), if entered, will be used.


Additional address

It is possible to record an additional address (street, zip code, city and country) with the person.


Heading

For a contact in Yuki, this field allows you to enter a salutation for use in sales invoices sent from Yuki. By default, ‘Dear Sir/Madam’ is used.


Printer label

In this field you enter the name as it should be printed on the label.


Gender

Please select the appropriate gender here.


Function

Enter the person's position within a company here.


Project

Select the project to which this person should be associated here. A project contains various items such as tasks, appointments, contacts, documents and e-mail that belong to a subject or a file.


Tags

A ‘tag’ that can be attached to the contact, making it easy to find them in Yuki. A tag can also be used to create a mailing list.


Comments

All other important data about the person can be recorded in this field.



After you have entered all of the person's details, click on the Save button, which saves the person as a contact in Yuki's address book.
