Since the GDPR came into effect on May 25, 2018, accounting firms are required to enter into a data processing agreement with entrepreneurs. This agreement must comply with the latest European privacy protection guidelines.

Data processing agreement content

The data processing agreement contains agreements regarding the processing of personal data, including procedures for dealing with data breaches.

The right to audit and the technical and organizational security measures implemented within the software used are also detailed.

Data processing agreement confirmation

The data processing agreement must be confirmed by the authorized signatory. Only the domain owner and users with the 'Management' role are authorized to sign.

Once the accounting office has made the data processing agreement available, a pop-up will appear on the authorized signatory's screen when they log in to the domain.

For a detailed description see article Confirm data processing agreement for domain.

Only the owner of the domain and a user with the 'Management' role can view, print and/or download the confirmed data processing agreement. The agreement always remains available in the domain.

For the back office the data processing agreement is not visible in the domain.
