When setting up your invoice layout, several options are available that allow you to personalize the appearance of your invoices.
The layout determines what the invoice looks like, what data will be printed on it, where the address block will appear and what will appear in the accompanying mail.
Below is an overview of the available options:
- General settings:
Includes options such as hour specifications and invoice attachments. - Invoice columns:
Determine which columns are visible on your invoices. - Page layout:
Settings for such things as page footer. - Paper settings:
Choose the paper size and printing options. - Address positioning:
Settings for the positioning of the address on the invoice. - Theme:
Customize the template colors of your invoice. - Email template:
Set the subject and text of the email used to send invoices.
Access to settings
All settings for your invoice layouts are centralized within your domain and divided into logical categories.
'>To access these settings:
- click on the Settings icon in the navigation bar
- Then click on Sales settings in the now-opened screen
- scroll to Invoice layouts.
Create and change invoice layouts
To change an existing invoice layout, click on the line of the corresponding invoice layout.
To create a new invoice layout click on the + New Layout button.
Set up email template
You can personalize the email in which you send sales invoices by customizing the subject and text of the email.
Step 1: click on the Email template button to customize the subject and text of the email of sales invoices you will send by email.
The following screen is opened:
Use of placeholders
In both the text and subject of your email, you can include variable data by using placeholders. These are specific codes enclosed in square brackets that are automatically filled in by Yuki with relevant data.

Click on the i icon behind Email text to see a list of available placeholders you can use in your email.
Example placeholder
The placeholder [Heading] automatically retrieves the salutation from the Heading field on the Extra tab of the customer's contact card.
