The following invoice layout settings can be entered or changed:

  • General (a.o. hour specification and attachment)
  • Invoice columns
  • Page layout (footer)
  • Paper settings
  • Address margin (address positioning)
  • Theme
  • Subject and text of mail (Email template).

All configured settings such as the settings of the invoice layouts, among others, are grouped and categorised in one place in your domain.

Open the settings of your domain by clicking on the Settings icon in the navigation bar. Subsequently, in the now-opened screen click on  Sales settings and then scroll to Invoice layouts.

To change an existing invoice layout, click on the line of the corresponding invoice layout.

To create a new invoice layout, click on the + New layout button.

Click the 2 button in the centre of your screen. The following screen is opened:

Here you can specify which data should be printed on your invoice. Which columns you can select depends on the template invoice layout you have chosen. Think especially from the customer's point of view. What is important for the customer to see on an invoice line?

Description

Do you want to print the description of the sales item, the description of the invoice line or both?

Quantity

Do you want the quantities to be stated?

Price ex. VAT

Price of sales item excluding VAT.

Price

Price of sales item.

VAT rate

If the invoice is for private customers, then listing the VAT per line is less important. If the VAT rate is the same for each sales item, you don't need to list it on each line either.

Amount ex. VAT

Amount of of total quantity of item excluding VAT.

VAT amount

VAT amount of total quantity of item.

Amount

Amount of total quantity of item.

Select the columns you would like to print per invoice line. Make the invoice as simple as possible (less is beautiful). To test whether the invoice looks the way you want, save the invoice layout by clicking on the Save button and then click on the Preview button.
