Price management of sales item

As soon as a sales item is added to a price list or the item price (including or excluding VAT) and/or the VAT rate is changed, you can view the history of the item price for the relevant item.


ATTENTION!

Only the effective date of the price change(s) is automatically entered and processed in the price management of the relevant item.


From this screen a user can:

  • enter a start date (new price) or end date (old price) 
  • change the price or VAT rate of the sales item
  • add a new price for the sales item
  • update the prices of sales item in bulk.


Hover your mouse over the Sales icon in the navigation bar, click on Sales items and then click on the description of the item whose price history you want to view.

Under the heading Price lists, click on the price list line.


The following screen is opened:



Here you can see, among other things, the end date of the old price and the start date of the item's new price.


Enter start date (new price) or end date (old price)


Start date new item price 

To enter a new price for the item from a certain date, click on the line of the corresponding price.


The following screen is opened:



In the Valid from field, select the correct start date of the item price. If required, you also record the end date of the new item price.

Check that all entries in the remaining fields are still correct and then click on the Save button to record the changed start or end date.


Click on the Save button to record the new price for the sales item.


End date old item price

To enter the old price to a certain date for the item, click on the line of the corresponding price.

In the Valid until field (see screenshot above), select the correct end date of the item price

Then click on the Save button to record the end date of the old item price.


Change price or VAT rate

To change the VAT rate or price of the sales item, click on the line of the corresponding price.

In the VAT rate or Price field, enter the correct price.


Check that all entries in the remaining fields are still correct and then click on the Save button to record the changed VAT rate or price.


Add new item price

To add an entirely new price for the sales item, click the Add a new price button.
