Reauthorize linked Ponto bank account (Entrepreneur)

Every 6 months, the authorization of a linked bank account in Ponto must be renewed. The expiry date of the authorization is shown in the Expires on column.


Only the entrepreneur can reauthorize a linked bank account.


The accountant can manually send a reminder message to all users in the domain to reauthorize a linked bank account.


In addition, Yuki and Ponto also automatically send reminder messages.


Automatic reminders to users (Yuki)

All users within the domain automatically receive a reminder from Yuki in the Yuki Assistant app, in their mailbox, and via email in their inbox at the following times:

  • one month in advance
  • ten days before the due date
  • one day before the due date
  • on the due date.


Automatic reminders to Ponto account holders (Ponto)

A Ponto account holder automatically receives an email from Ponto:

  • two weeks before the due date
  • on the due date.




To use the Ponto PSD2 link, a number of things must be arranged:

Access to Ponto

All settings for Ponto are centralized within your domain and divided into logical categories.


To access these settings:

  • click on the Settings icon in the navigation bar
  • then, in the now-opened screen, in the Bank section click on Ponto.



Ponto PSD2-links overview




In the overview screen, you can see the status of the Ponto link for each bank account. The possible statuses are:

  • Connected: The bank account has been successfully linked to Ponto.
  • Not connected: There is no active connection to Ponto yet.
  • Expires soon: The current connection will expire soon and requires reauthorization.
  • Expired: The connection is no longer active and requires reauthorization.


Reauthorize bank account

One month before the due date, the status of the bank account will change to Expires soon,  after the due date, the status will change to Expired.


To reauthorize the bank account, follow these steps:


Step 1. Hover your mouse over the line of the corresponding bank account and then click on the Authorize again/Reauthorize button.



ATTENTION!

Only the account holder(s) of the bank account(s) can reauthorize the linked bank account(s).


The Ponto login screen is now opened automatically:



Atep 2. Enter your Ponto email address and password.


Ponto will now send a code via SMS to your phone, 


Step 3. Enter the code on the screen below to verify your identity.



The following screen is opened:



You have two options to re-authorize the bank account:

  • through the Integrations section
  • through the Bank Accounts section.



Via Integrations section

Go through the following steps:

  • Click on Integrations and then on ...linked bank accounts


  • You now see a list of the linked bank accounts. Click on the bank account you want to reauthorize.


  • You now come to the Bank accounts section that shows you an overview of your bank account. Click on the Reauthorize button here.



Via Bank accounts section

Go through the following steps:

  • Click on Bank accounts and then on the Reauthorize button


  • Read the information in the pop-up and then click on Continue.


You will now be redirected to your bank's website or mobile app.


Follow your bank's specific instructions to approve the connection renewal. This usually involves logging in and confirming the authorization.


ATTENTION!

Be sure to select all accounts you want available in Ponto, even if they have been previously authorized.


Once you have authorized your account with the bank, the new expiration date will be updated in Ponto.



After you have approved the connection at your bank, return to your Yuki page.


Refresh or reload the page (you may need to hit F5 or the refresh button in your browser).

You will see that the status changes to Authorize.



Once the process is complete, the status in Yuki changes back to Connected and displays the new connection due date.



After successfully reauthorizing the linked bank account, a notification appears on your screen that the bank account has been reauthorized and then after a few moments, the status of the bank account changes back to Connected.
