The transactions of purchase and sales invoices can be linked to a project in Yuki from the general ledger card.
These transactions can even be split so that they can be assigned to different projects.
The chart of accounts can be opened from different places in Yuki:
- Hover your mouse over the Financials icon in the navigation bar and then click on Chart of accounts.
- Click on the Backoffice icon in the navigation bar and then click on Chart of accounts in the now-ppened screen.
Only a user with the ‘Financial administration’ or ‘External accountant’ role can link invoice lines to different projects.
Then, open the general ledger card of the corresponding cost, purchase or revenue account.
After the transaction in question, click on the pencil icon and select the Change project option from the now-opened menu.
In the now-opened screen, click on the magnifying glass in the Project field and select a project to link this transaction to that project.
If you change the project amount and then click on the Confirm button, a second line is shown where you can assign the remaining amount to another project. This way you can split a transaction line and assign it to different projects.
Line splitting is undone again when the invoice is reprocessed or another action is performed on the project such as changing the GL account or moving to another year or month. So be sure to perform those actions first before splitting the transaction.
