Projects can be used to group not only documents and financial transactions but also data from contacts such as appointments, tasks, e-mail, etc. This allows costs, revenues, investments and the planning of contacts to be assigned to projects or departments, for example.
Assigning financial transactions is done by linking purchase and/or sales invoices or other financial transactions to a project. This also assigns all underlying transactions to that project.
Data can be manually linked to a project (for example, after an invoice is posted and processed) or automatically assigned to a project by Yuki during the posting process.
TIP!
When you enter a name in the 'Project' field while recording a document or transaction, the project is immediately created (if the project does not already exist). This new project is then accessible by default only to yourself (as manager). As manager you can set the security of the project.
The following data can be manually linked to a project in Yuki:
- Document:
- from the opened document
- from the opened project
- using the 'Not linked' function.
- Bank transaction:
- from the opened bank transaction in bank transactions workflow
- from the general ledger card
- using the 'Not linked' function.
- Financial transaction:
- Transactions of purchase and sales invoices
- from the general ledger card
- Transactions of general journal entries
- from the general ledger card
- Transactions of purchase and sales invoices
- Task::
- from an opened task in the Calendar
- Activity (work hours):
- from an opened activity in the Calendar.
- Contact:
- from the opened contact card in Contacts (CRM)
- Appointment:
- from the opened appointment in the Calendar
- Email:
- from an opened email message.
Linking the above data is discussed separately for each data type in an article.
