You can link the transactions of purchase and sales invoices to a project in Yuki:
- from the opened general ledger card
- from the opened invoice.
Only a user with a ‘Backoffice’ role in the domain or the ‘Financial administration’ or ‘External accountant’ role can link transactions of an invoice to a project.
TIP!
Invoice transactions can even be split so that they can be assigned to different projects.
Link transactions of invoice to project
To link the transactions of a purchase or sales invoice, at line level if required, to a project go through the following steps:
- Open the general ledger card of the corresponding costs, purchase or revenue account
- After the transaction in question, click on the pencil icon and select the Change project option from the now-opened menu.
- In the now-opened screen, click on the magnifying glass in the Project field and select a project to link this transaction to that project.
- Click on the Confirm button which links the transaction to the project.
When you enter a name in the Project field, the project is immediately created (if the project does not already exist). This new project is then accessible by default only to yourself (as manager). As manager you can set the security of the project.
Assign split transactions of invoice to projects
If you adjust the project amount and then click on the Confirm button, a second line is shown where you can assign the remaining amount to another project. This way you can split a transaction line and assign it to different projects.
Line splitting is undone again when the invoice is reprocessed or another action is performed on the project such as changing the GL account or moving to another year or month. So be sure to perform those actions first before splitting the transaction.
View linked transactions of invoice in project
You can find the linked transactions of the invoice in the project in the Financial details and Profit and loss views.
