Can I add a general ledger account to the chart of accounts myself?

The chart of accounts for a domain can only be changed by a user with a 'Back office' role in the domain or the 'External accountant' role. 

The chart of accounts can be accessed from different places in Yuki:

• In the navigation bar, click on the Back office icon and then in the now-opened screen, click on Chart of accounts.
• Hover your mouse over the Financials icon in the navigation bar and click on Chart of accounts 
• In the navigation bar, click on the Settings icon and then in the now-opened screen click on GL accounts.

The following screen is opened:

You can duplicate an account which creates an additional account in the chart of accounts. That account is reported under the same heading as the account from which it is duplicated. Accounts that have a (+) in the last column can be duplicated. 

Click the + behind the general ledger account you want to duplicate. The following screen is opened:

A code (number) within a predetermined range can be given to the new account. This range is indicated in the yellow bar.

You can also set the following for the account:

• Description (required)

  Click on the arrow behind the general ledger account description to translate the description into English or French.
  
  
• VAT applicable: is VAT applicable (should entries on this account be included in the VAT return?)
• Deductible VAT percentage: for what % are entries on the account deductible for VAT (This is a proposal and can be changed per booking)
• Grouping code: set only for revenue and cost accounts.
  This only affects the web service link for Visionplanner and CaseWare: the balances of these accounts are grouped by grouping code during export.
• Comments: special instructions for the back office, they will be notified if the account is selected in an input screen.
