Update chart of accounts from domain

Only a user with a 'Back office' role in the domain can use a chart of accounts form another domain as a template in order to quickly configure another domain. 

All configured settings like the settings of the chart of accounts are gathered and categorised in one place in your domain.  

You can open the chart of accounts from different places in Yuki:

• Click on the Financials icon in the navigation bar and then click on Chart of accounts
• Click on the Back office icon in the navigation bar and then click on Chart of accounts
• Click on the Settings icon in the navigation bar and then, in the now-opened screen, click on GL accounts.

In the now-opened screen the additional Update from domain button is available in the chart of accounts of the domain that needs to be configured for the back office.

Click on the Update from domain button. In the now-opened screen a domain can be searched and selected which wil serve as basis In order to update the chart of accounts in the opened domain. Choose a domain and click on the Save selected domain button in order to be able to update the chart of accounts.

As soon as a domain template is selected an overview will be shown of the differences between the domain template and the current domain.  The differences can be updated based on the codes of the GL accounts:

When a GL account with the same code already exists in the current domain then:

• the deductability percentage of an existing GL account can be updated and/or
• the setting whether or not an existing GL account is enabled or disabled can be updated and/or
• the setting whether or not VAT is applicable for an existing GL account can be updated and/or
• the description of the GL account can be updated.

When the GL account doesn't exist in the current domain then a new GL account can be created with the same properties as the GL account from the domain template

TIP!

When a description of a GL account differs then it will not be selected by default and therefore will not be updated by default.

All the selected items in the list with differences will be updated in the current chart of accounts. Click on the Update chart of accounts button in your screen in order to update a chart of accounts. An overview will now be shown with the changes.
