Passwords in the Visma cloud-based identity servers are secured using a hash algorithm. This ensures that passwords are unreadable to Nmbrs Accounting employees who have access to the identity server and remain protected in the event of a cyberattack or data breach.
What is a hash algorithm?
Hashing converts a password into a unique string of characters. Unlike encryption, hashing is a one-way process: a generated hash cannot be reversed or decoded back to the original password.
