Can I add a GL account to the chart of accounts myself?

The chart of accounts for a domain can only be edited by a user with a 'Back office' role in the domain or the 'External accountant role.

The chart of accounts can be opened from various locations within Yuki:

• Click on the Back office icon In the navigation bar and then, in the now-opened screen, click on Chart of accounts.
• Hover your mouse over the Financials icon in the navigation bar and then click on Chart of accounts.
• Click on the Settings icon in the navigation bar and then, in the now-opened, click on Chart of accounts.

The following screen is opened:

You can duplicate an account, which creates an additional account in the chart. That account is reported under the same heading as the account it is copied from. GL accounts that have a black GB icon in the Type column can be duplicated.

Hover your mouse over the Gl account line you want to duplicate. Then click on the Create GL account button.

The following screen is opened:

A code (number) within a pre-defined range can be assigned to the new GL account. This range is indicated under the Code field.

You can also set the following for that GL account:

• Description (required)

  Click on the arrow behind the GL account description to translate the description into English, French, or Spanish.
  
  
• VAT applicable: is VAT applicable (should bookings on this GL account be included in the VAT return?)
• Deductible VAT: what percentage of postings to the GL account are deductible for VAT (This is a suggestion and can be changed per posting)
• Grouping code. Easily adjustable for revenue and costs accounts.
  This only affects the web service link for Visionplanner and CaseWare: the balances of these GL accounts are grouped by grouping code during the export.
• Customer-specific rema: special instructions for the back office; they will receive a notification if the GL account is selected in an input screen.
