All screenshots in the article were taken in the Dutch version of Yuki.

In Yuki, it is possible to manually create a quotation and then send it to your customer by mail or email. Then, if necessary, the quotation can be handled correctly.

To create a new quotation, the following steps must be followed:

Access to new quotation

You can create a quotation from two places in Yuki:

  • click on the Sales icon in the navigation bar
  • if required, click on Dashboard
  • then, if required. select the Quotation menu option from the dropdown menu of the Create... button

    OR

  • click on the Sales icon in the navigation bar
  • click on Quotations
  • then, in the now-opened screen, click on the New quotation button.

Enter quotation details

Quotation details can be entered in the fields described below.

Company (required)

Select the company (administration) in which the quotation is to be processed in Yuki.

Customer (required)

Select the contact (customer) for whom the quotation is intended or click the + New contact button to create a new contact (customer)

For a detailed description, see article Create customer (individual/company) via quotation.

Once you have selected or created a contact, the 'Contact person', 'Subject', 'Layout' and 'Expires'' fields are automatically added to the draft quotation.

Contact person

If a customer-specific contact person is present on the customer's contact card, it will be filled in automatically.

If necessary, select another contact as a customer contact person or click on the + New contact person button to create a new contact (contact person).

It is only possible to select contacts recorded with the customer. This prevents the invoice from accidentally being sent to the wrong person.

Subject (required)

After selecting the customer, Yuki automatically fills in the subject "Quotation for [contact]". This can be changed manually.

Even after sending the quotation, the subject of the quotation can still be changed.

Layout (required)

The quotation layout is taken from the 'Quotations' settings (in the 'Sales settings'). However, the quotation layout can be changed manually here.

For a detailed description, see article Quotations.

TIP!

To create an English, French or German quotation, select an English, French or German quotation layout here.

Expire in

The validity days are taken from the 'Quotations' settings (under 'Sales settings'). However, the number of days can be changed manually here. When sending the quotation, the correct validity date is automatically calculated based on the quotation date.

For a detailed description, see article Quotations .
