Change, duplicate or delete distribution key or weight set

An distribution key can be set as an output for an allocation rule. Within an allocation key, you must define at least one weight set that automatically distributes analytic transactions among multiple values.


The weight set of a distribution key determines how the revenue and cost of transactions will be automatically distributed among the different values based on an allocation rule.


Only a user with the 'Portal administrator', 'Portal back office', 'Management', 'Financial administration' or 'External accountant' role can change, duplicste or delete a distribution key or weight set.


From this screen, a user can:

  • create a new weight set of a distribution key
  • change a distirbution key
  • delete a distribution key
  • change the weight set of a distribution key
  • duplicate the weight set of a distribution key
  • delete the weight set of a distribution key.


Click on the Financials icon in the navigation bar and then click on Analytical accounting

Click on the description of the analytic view whose distribution key you want to view and then click on the Distribution keys tile.

Click on the name of the distribution key or hover your mouse over the line of that dostribution key, click on the button with the three dots and then click on View from the dropdown menu.


The following screen is opened:




Create new weight set of distribution key

To create a new weight set of the distribution key, click on the New weight set button.


The following screen is opened:



Enter the start date and details of the weight set, then click on the Add button.


As soon as you add the new weight set of the distribution key, an end date of this weight set is automatically entered by Yuki for the existing ‘old’ weight set.

Change distribution key

To change the distribution key, click on the Edit button.


The following screen is opened:



Change the description of the distribution key and click on the Save button.


Delete distribution key

To delete the distribution key, click on the Delete button.


The following screen is opened:



Click on the Delete button to actually remove the distribution key from the analytic view.


Change weight set of distribution key

Hover your mouse over the line of the corresponding weight set, click on the button with the three dots and then click on Edit in the dropdown menu.


The following screen is opened:



Change the relevant details of the weight set of the distribution key and then click on the Save button.


Duplicate weight set of distribution key

Hover your mouse over the line of the corresponding weight set, click on the button with the three dots and then click on Duplicate weight set in the dropdown menu.


The following screen is opened:



In the copy of the weight set, enter a new start date, change one or more values and/or its share or add new values with shares and click on the Create button.


The new weight set of the distribution key will now be created.


As soon as you create a new weight set of a distribution key, an end date of this weight set is automatically entered by Yuki for the existing ‘old’ weight set.


Delete weight set of distribution key

Hover your mouse over the line of the weight set in question, click on the button with the three dots and then click on Delete in the dropdown menu.


The following screen is opened:



Click on the Delete button to actually remove the weight set of the distribution key.
