You can import the cash statement by means of a CSV file.

For a detailed description of the structure and an example of this CSV file, see article Import cash statement.

This file will be recognised and the cash statement (read transactions) will be processed.

After the import, it is determined per transaction whether it can be processed automatically. If that is not possible, the transactions that remain are placed in the workflow 'Cash transactions to be processed'.

Possible transactions:

• Deposit to bank: money withdrawn from cash deposited in business account(s).
• Bank withdrawal: money withdrawn from business account(s) deposited in cash (e.g. change).
• Private deposit: private money deposited in cash.
• Private withdrawal: money withdrawn from cash for private expenses.
• Payment from customer: customer who has paid a sales invoice in cash. Include the invoice number in the description.
• Payment to supplier: purchase invoice from supplier paid in cash. Include the invoice number in the description.
• Cash sales: total of sales sold through the cash register. For each cash transaction line, this total must be broken down into VAT high, VAT low and VAT 0% or exempt from VAT.
• Cash expense: for each expense (cash transaction line), state the type of expense (general ledger account), the VAT amount and the total amount of the expense (including VAT).
• Petty cash differences: if the difference is negative, then there is a cash surplus (more in cash than expected). If the difference is positive, then there is a cash deficit (less in cash than expected).
• Total paid by debit card: total of sales paid by debit card.
• Total paid by credit card: total of sales paid by credit card.
• Other.

Think of a transaction code for each type and create a bank processing rule for it. From now on, the cash transactions will be processed automatically by Yuki.
