A petty cash or a cash register is present in your company (administration). The invoices and/or receipts submitted to Yuki are processed with the 'Cash' payment method when the company has a petty cash or the cash transactions are recorded based on the weekly or monthly cash statement (cash register) submitted.

In the following situations Yuki offers the possibility to create a receipt:

  • Petty cash: No invoice or receipt is available of the cash income and expense(s).
  • Cash register: Cash income or expense(s) is not included in the weekly or monthly processed cash flow statement.

Only a user with the 'Back office' role in the domain can create a new cash receipt.

Hover your mouse over the Bank icon in the navigation bar, click on Petty cash and then click on the description of the relevant petty cash in the now-opened screen.

The following screen is opened:

Click on the New button in order to create a cash receipt. Then click on the cash receipt type that you want to create in the now-opened screen.

You have taken for example cash money from the petty cash in order to pay for a corporate expense of which you cannot submit the invoice or receipt in Yuki. Click on Cash expense in the above screen whereby the following entry screen is opened:

Notice that the cash transaction line that you want to enter is of the 'Cash expense' type. Check if the correct opening balance (last balance of the petty cash or final balance of the previous cash statement) is filled in and correct this if necessary.

Then enter the data of the cash receipt (document type cash statement) as described in the article Post cash statement.

Click on the Save button in order to record the new cash receipt in the petty cash.
