The keyboard shortcuts below allow you to enter and process invoices faster and more efficiently in the input screen, without using your mouse.
Navigate between sections
Use these to navigate between the different sections within the entry screen.
- Windows: Ctrl + Up Arrow/Down Arrow
- Mac: Cmd + Up Arrow/Down Arrow
Add invoice lines
Use these to add a new invoice line when you’re in the invoice lines section.
- Windows: Ctrl + Enter
- Mac: Cmd + Enter
Navigate between fields
These keyboard shortcuts are the same on Windows and Mac.
- Tab: move to the next field
- Shift + Tab: move back to the previous field.
Use Enter and Space to activate buttons
These keyboard shortcuts are the same on Windows and Mac.
Important to know: Enter is no longer a general shortcut for saving.
Enter and Space only activate a button when that button has focus. This means: use Tab to navigate to the desired button, and once it’s highlighted, press Enter or Space to activate the button.
This applies to the following buttons:
- Process (note: this is the button at the bottom of the screen, not the button in the toolbar): Enter or Space
- Upload: Enter or Space
- Add invoice line: Enter or Space
- Delete invoice line (the “X” icon next to an invoice line): Enter or Space
Open and close dropwdown menus
Dropdown menus follow a slightly different logic:
- Open: Use the Tab key to navigate to the dropdown menu. Once it is highlighted, press Space to open it.
- Close: Press Enter.
