Profit and loss value comparison (Analytical accounting)

Disclaimer

All screenshots in the article were taken in the Dutch version of Yuki.

The 'Profit and loss value comparison' report shows for all values the comparative totals per month of a year.

Only a user with the 'Portal administrator', 'Portal back office', 'Management', 'Financial administration' or 'External accountant' role can view this report.

Click on the Financials icon in the navigation bar and then click on Analytical Accounting in the now-opened screen. 

Select the tab of the analytical view you want to view a report of and then click on the Go to dashboard button.  

In the now-opened screen, click on the View report... button and then click on Profit and loss value comparison in the dropdown menu.

The following screen is opened:

You can collapse or unfold the report, if required, by clicking one of the buttons at the top right of the report. 

By clicking in the report on a GL account category (and possibly a GL account subcategory) and then on the amount to be assigned or the total amount of a specific value or all values you can view the interim results on a specific GL account down to document level.

Views

You can also indicate on this screen that one of the other reports should be shown:

• Profit and loss by value

Filters

In all views you can specify which data should be shown using the Display dropdown menu:

• Also show accounts with amounts of 0.00 Euro (if applicable)
• Also show year-end entries (if applicable)
• Amounts rounded to whole numbers 
• Amounts rounded to thousands.

In addition, in the Profit and loss by value report, you can filter the data shown by: 

• Value (code): for the analytical view, shows only the revenue and costs assigned to the selected value or the revenue and costs yet to be assigned.
• Current period: shows the revenue and costs of the specified current period.
• Months comparison: shows the comparative totals for each month of a year.
• Years comparison: shows the comparative totals from three years back to the selected year.

In the Profit and loss by dimension report, you can filter the shown data using the Dimensions dropdown menu by dimension or a combination of both dimensions.

ATTENTION!

In all reports the results of the current financial year until today's date are shown by default. However, you can select a different period:

• If you select all years or one particular year, Yuki will show the results for the entire period.
• If you select the current financial year, Yuki will show the interim results up to today.
• If you select H1 or H2 then Yuki will only show the results for that half year.
• If you want to view results at the quarterly or monthly level, you choose one of the quarters or months.
• If you click on the two boxes, Yuki shows only the count of GL accounts for the selected period.
• If you click on the boxed arrow, Yuki shows the count of GL accounts from the beginning of this year to the end of the selected period.

If you want to view the results of a custom period (such as a broken or an extended financial year), you can set it yourself by clicking on Custom:
