Before you get started with Nmbrs Accounting, it is important to check that your computer, browser, and peripherals meet the minimum requirements. This ensures fast and error-free operation of the software.
Check if the following items are ready for use with Nmbrs Accounting:
- Internet connection
- Operating system and Web browser
- Scanner (not required if using the Nmbrs Accounting app)
- Nmbrs Accounting app (for iPhone and Android).
Internet connection
Because Nmbrs Accounting operates entirely in the cloud (web-based), a stable internet connection is necessary.
Recommendation
We recommend a broadband connection. Accessing data is often still possible on a slower connection, but uploading or scanning a large number of documents can take a very long time.
Operating system and Web browser
In principle, you only need a browser to use Nmbrs Accounting. However, there are requirements regarding the versions of your operating system and browser to guarantee security and speed.
System requirements
- Windows: at least Windows 10 or higher. (Older versions such as Windows Vista or XP are not supported and cause problems).
- Mac: recent version of macOS.
Supported browsers
Nmbrs Accounting always supports the latest two major versions of the browsers listed below. For the best experience, we recommend always updating to the very latest version.
| Operating system | Supported browsers |
| Windows | Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge |
| macOS | Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Mozilla Firefox |
ATTENTION!
Windows Internet Explorer has not been supported since 2019. Use Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome instead.
Scanner (optional)
If you want to digitize physical documents and process them directly in Nmbrs Accounting, you can use a scanner. Do you use the Nmbrs Accounting app exclusively? Then a separate scanner is not necessary.
Important scanner requirements
For optimal text recognition (OCR) and fast processing, the scanner must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Color recognition: the scanner must be able to scan in color.
- Resolution: a minimum scan accuracy of 300 DPI is required for good text recognition (OCR).
- Input: an automatic document feeder (ADF) is highly recommended for larger volumes of paper.
- Connection: preferably connect the scanner via a network cable. Wireless (Wi-Fi) connections can significantly slow down scanning speeds.
Direct control via Nmbrs Accounting
Nmbrs Accounting can control scanners that support WIA or TWAIN (such as many HP models) directly from the browser. You then scan directly to Nmbrs Accounting.
Does your scanner not support these protocols? Then scan the documents to your computer first using the scanner supplier's software. Next, you manually upload the files to Nmbrs Accounting.
ATTENTION!
The macOS operating system does not support direct scanner control from the browser.
Nmbrs Accounting app
Nmbrs Accounting has developed a special app for your smartphone (iPhone and Android). With this, you can scan receipts and invoices directly with your camera.
For a detailed description, see article Yuki Assistant NL app.
The Nmbrs Accounting app currently works with Android OS 8.0 or higher, or iPhone iOS 15.0 or higher.
You can download the Nmbrs Accounting app for free from the Apple App Store (iPhone) or the Google Play Store (Android).
TIPS!
- Use the official Nmbrs Accounting app on your phone. Regular mobile web browsers are not optimally configured for using Nmbrs Accounting.
- Enable automatic updates for the Nmbrs Accounting app in your app store so that you always work with the safest and latest features.
