All screenshots in the article were taken in the Dutch version of Yuki.

Yuki has a general marking tool that can be used for different purposes:

  • mark transactions to explain the outstanding balance
  • mark transactions because they need special attention
  • mark transactions that belong together
  • quickly mark transactions in order to calculate a total.

The tool is available in each domain and can be used on any GL account.

A user with the 'Back office' role in the domain or the 'Management', 'Financial administration' or 'External accountant' role can use this tool to mark transactions and thus has insight in these marked transactions

You can open a GL account from the trial balance, the chart of accounts or by clicking the GL account in an opened already processed document.

From the opened GL account you can click Reconcile at the left of your screen. The following screen is opened:

In this screen you can use the following buttons:

  1. Period selection
  2. Switch between the transaction view and the outstanding transactions view:
    - the transaction view shows all transaction lines, marked and unmarked
    - the outstanding transactions view only shows the unmarked transaction lines
  3. Unmark all transactions in the selected period that have a specific chosen colour
  4. Mark all unmarked transactions in the selected period in bulk
  5. Show document preview
  6. Configurate colours and tag names.

At the bottom right of the screen you will find the markers in various colours.

Default marker settings

The default marker settings are the tag settings for all GL accounts. By clicking the Configuration button you can simply change the tag names by selecting the text and change it. By clicking the coloured box in front of the tag you can change the colour of the tag.

You can save the changes by clicking the Done button.

Mark/reconcile GL account

When you want to mark transactions you first have to choose a colour. You can do this by selecting one of the markers at the bottom right of the screen. After you have selected a colour you click the transaction line that you want to mark. At the bottom of the screen the total balance of all the transaction that are marked with that colour is shown.

When you want to undo the marking of a transaction line you have to select the relevant line again. In order to change the colour you have to click the marker in the right colour.

When you want to change the name of the used tags per GL account you can select and change the text of the relevant tag on the bar where the total balance of the marked lines is shown.

When you are finished with marking the transactions you can click Transactions at the left of your screen in order to switch the default view of the GL account. Then you can proceed by using the marking tool again in another GL account.
