At the top of every screen in your domain, you will find the advanced Search function. This allows you to instantly search the entire domain based on a name, number, amount, date, or targeted search (combination of various search terms).

TIP!

Exactly what you can find depends on your role(s) within the domain. Data to which you do not have access according to your role is automatically hidden in the search results.

Search in categories

By default, Yuki searches within all available parts of your domain. You can enable or disable specific categories via the dropdown menu next to the search bar to refine your results.

Yuki searches the following categories:

  • All
  • Contacts
  • Documents
  • Chart of accounts (general ledger accounts)
  • Statement lines (transactions)
  • Appointments
  • Tasks
  • Back office questions/answers
  • General journal (only available to a user with a 'Back office' role in the domain)
  • Pages
  • Settings
  • Projects (only available in Medium, Large or Unlimited bundle).

ATTENTION!

Yuki remembers your selected categories and your last search term for next time.

Search methods

Yuki starts searching immediately as soon as you type and always displays the Best match at the top. You can search in the following ways:

1. Search by name

Type (part of) a name. Yuki searches in the fields Description, Subject, Name, and Company name.

Example

tele finds, for example, "Telefooncell BV" or "Telecommunication invoice".

2. Search by number

Enter a number. Yuki searches in the Description, Subject, Name, and Company name fields, as well as in specific numeric fields such as Invoice number.

Example

500 finds invoice number 500 or a description containing the number 500.

ATTENTION!

This does not automatically search for amounts such as € 500.35. Only the exact amount 500.00 is found with this.

3. Search by amount (exact or range)

  • Exact amount: Type the exact amount, for example 54.45 or 54.45.
  • Amount range: Use a hyphen (-) to search between two amounts.

    Example
50-60 shows all results with a value from € 50.00 up to and including € 60.00.

4. Search by date

You can enter dates in various ways. Yuki recognizes the following formats:

  • 18/05/2018
  • 18-05-2018
  • 180518
  • 18052018.

Yuki searches in the Date field.

5. Targeted search (combine)

Do you want to search very specifically? Then combine the different search methods by simply placing a space between your search terms.

Example

tele 100-150 18-05-2018

Result

Yuki immediately displays all dates containing the name 'tele', with an amount between 100 and 150 euros and with the date May 18, 2018.
