Trial balance (Beta)

The trial balance in Yuki is the starting point for checking individual general ledger accounts. 


The trial balance is only available to a user with a 'Back office' role in the domain or the 'Management', 'Financial Administration' or 'External Accountant' role.


A user with the 'Back office controller' role in the domain additionally has more control possibilities with the 'Trial balance check' (annual report) feature.

From this screen, a user with the 'Back Office' role in the domain or the 'Management', 'Financial Administration' or 'External Accountant' role:

  • can view mutations of a general ledger account.


From this screen, a user with the role 'Backoffice controller' of the domain:

  • can block or close the administration


Hover your mouse over the Financials icon in the navigation bar, then click on Trial balance.   


The following screen is opened:



ATTENTION!

The Block or close administration button is only available to a user with the “BO controller' role. 


The interactive view has the six traditional columns:

  • Opening Balance: Opening Balance Debit
  • Opening Balance: Opening Balance Credit
  • Balance of debit mutations
  • Balance of credit mutations
  • Balance at end of period Debit
  • Balance at end of period Credit.


The Checksum at the bottom of the overview checks that the column balance totals are balanced.    


Views

You can also indicate in this screen that one of the other views should be shown:

  • End of year entries: show or hide year end entries. 
  • RGS (Reference General ledger Schedule): show the linked (mapped) RGS codes and RGS descriptions (RGS Reference General ledger Schedule)
  • GL accounts with € 0,-: show or hide general ledger accounts with a closing balance of 0.00 euros. 

Download as CSV

For example, to export the trial balance to Excel and then print it, if needed, click on the Download as CSV button.


View mutations of general ledger account

To view the mutations of a general ledger account click;

  • on the appropriate general ledger account
    OR
  • on the debit or credit amount in the Current or Balance column
    OR
  • hover your mouse over the line of the corresponding general ledger account, click on the button with the three dots and select the View GL account menu option from the drop-down menu


ATTENTION!

In the now-opened general ledger account, you can view a screen preview of the respective documents. In addition, you have a number of editing functions for invoices, bank transactions and the general ledger account (total balance) at your disposal here.
