General (quotation layout)

When setting up your quotation layout, several options are available that allow you to personalize the appearance of your quotations.

The layout determines what the quotation looks like, what data will be printed on it, where the address block will appear and what will appear in the accompanying mail.


Below is an overview of the available options:

  • General settings:
    Includes options such as quotation attachments.
  • Invoice columns:
    Determine which columns are visible on your quotations.
  • Page layout:
    Settings for such things as page footer.
  • Paper settings:
    Choose the paper size and printing options.
  • Address positioning:
    Settings for the positioning of the address on the quotation.
  • Theme:
    Customize the template colors of your quotation.
  • Email template:
    Set the subject and text of the email used to send quotations.


Access to settings

All settings for your quotation layouts are centralized within your domain and divided into logical categories.


To access these settings:

  • click on the Settings icon in the navigation bar
  • Then click on Sales settings in the now-opened screen
  • scroll to Quotation layouts

Create and change quotation layouts

To change an existing quotation layout, click on the line of the corresponding quotation layout.

To create a new quotation layout click on the + New Layout button.


Details of general settings



Description

Give your layout a recognizable description.


Company

Indicate for which administration the layout is intended (if you have more than one administration).


Template

If required, select a different template for your quotation layout.


Language

In Dutch domains it is possible to choose an quotation in Dutch, English, French or German.

After saving the quotation layout, the text in the quotation is immediately displayed in the selected language.


TIP!

In the sales settings, the selected language is shown in the Language column for the respective quotation layout. This provides a quick overview of which language is set for each specific layout.


Attachment

Here you can link an attachment from the archive to the quotation layout (for example, general terms and conditions).
