Bank processing rules (Beta)

Disclaimer

All screenshots in the article were taken in the Dutch version of Yuki.

In Yuki, you can view an overview of all bank processing rules created in a domain.

Only a user with a ‘Backoffice’ role in the domain can view this overview.

ATTENTION!

A Yuki central processing rule always ‘overrides’ a bank processing rule created by a user. An example of this is the central processing rule that automatically posts almost all transfers to business accounts within the same domain on ‘23000 Payments in transit’.

From this screen, a user can:

  • create a new bank processing rule
    • automatically record (split) transactions on multiple GL accounts
  • enable automatic processing of one or more bank processing rules
  • enable manual processing of one or more bank processing rules
  • view and/or change a bank processing rule
  • view a contact
  • add a comment
  • delete one or more bank processing rules.

Hover your mouse over the Bank icon in the navigation bar and then click on Bank processing rules

The following screen is opened:

By default, bank processing lines are grouped by GL account.

Filters

The data shown in the screen can be filtered by Processing method or Active on certain date:

  • Processing Method: Automatic, Manual or both processing modes.
  • Active on certain date: only the bank processing rules active on a certain date or all bank processing rules.

Create bank processing rule

To more efficiently process regularly recurring bank and cash transactions, you can create bank processing rules in Yuki.

For a detailed description, see article Create bank processing rule.

For a detailed description of how to split bank transactions, see article Split bank transactions automatically.

Enable automatic processing of bank processing rules

To ensure that Yuki automatically processes and complets bank transactions after the bank processing rules are applied, automatic completion of bank processing rules can be enabled. This will stop the transactions from entering the workflow.

Select the bank processing rules whose bank transactions should be processed automatically if all criteria of the respective bank processing rules are met. Then click on Process automatically at the top of the screen.

TIP!

To enable automatic processing of one bank processing rule, hover your mouse over the line of that bank processing rule and click on the Automatic button.

Enable manual processing of bank processing rules

To ensure that Yuki does not process and complete bank transactions after the bank processing rules have been applied, manual processing of bank processing rules can be enabled. This will bring the transactions into the workflow.

Select the bank processing rules whose bank transactions should be manually processed if all criteria of the respective bank processing rules are met. Then click on Process manually at the top of the screen.

TIP!

To enable manual processing of one bank processing rule, hover your mouse over the line of that bank processing rule and click on the Manual button.

View and/or change bank processing rule

Hover your mouse over the line of the corresponding bank processing rule, click on the button with the three dots, and then select View bank processing rule from the dropdown menu.

For a detailed description see article Bank processing rules (and matches).

View contact

Hover your mouse over the line of the corresponding bank processing rule, click on the button with the three dots and then select View contact from the dropdown menu.

The contact card of the corresponding contact is now opened.

Add comment

If necessary, you can add a note/comment to the bank processing rule. Hover your mouse over the line of the corresponding bank processing rule, click on the button with the three dots and then select Add comment from the dropdown menu.

The following screen is opened:

Type a comment or note and then click on the Add button.

Delete bank processing rules

Select all the bank processing rules you want to delete, then click on Delete at the top of the screen.

The following message will appear on your screen:

Click on the Delete button to actually delete the bank processing rules.

TIP!

To delete one bank processing rule, hover your mouse over the line of that bank processing rule, click on the button with the three dots, and then select Delete from the dropdown menu.

In the now-opened message, click on the Delete button to actually delete the bank processing rule.
