All screenshots in the article were taken in the Dutch version of Yuki.

Yuki allows you to import certain general journal entries, using a simple format. This is very useful for regularly recurring entries such as payroll journal entries and depreciations, etc. The financial import file must be a so-called CSV (Comma Separated Values) file (fields separated by commas or by semicolons (;)). This file can, for example, be created from Excel. In addition to using the 'Import' function in Financials, this financial import file can also be uploaded to the 'To be handled by Yuki' folder or emailed as an attachment to the email address of your administration.

If Yuki does not recognise the financial import file, it will appear in the workflow 'Documents to be processed' as a standard document.

At the top of your screen, select the correct document type Financial import file in the document type selection screen. The file will then be automatically imported into your administration if the import format is correct (Successful import).

Below is a brief description of the buttons:

  • Import again: For a 'small' financial import file, this starts the import immediately, no need to wait for the IDR. It is not advisable to use this function with a 'large' financial import file.
  • Delete: Delete the financial import file including the transactions.
  • Link project: When a user with the 'Management' role has selected the Medium, Large or Unlimited bundle via the Yuki Store in the domain, this field appears. The financial import file can be assigned to a specific project.
  • Import new file containing financial transactions: the financial import file can be 'replaced' by another financial import file and then automatically imported again.
  • Transaction details: Financial entries linked to this document in Yuki.

A processed financial import file is placed in the 'Other financial/General journals' folder by default.
