All financial documents and bank transactions must be posted to the correct contact in the administration(s) of a domain. After all, all bank transactions must be matched with the correct financial documents (invoices and journal entries).

Click on the Back office icon in the navigation bar. Subsequently, in the now-opened screen, click on Contacts check under Checklist

The following screen is opened:

This overview shows all contacts in a domain that are currently marked as duplicates by Yuki.

A contact is recognised as duplicate when it matches an already existing contact in one of the following five points:

  • name
  • CoC number
  • VAT number
  • website
  • bank account.

To view all duplicate names, CoC numbers, VAT numbers, bank accounts or websites in the domain, click on the appropriate option in the drop-down menu.

You can further narrow the selection now shown by selecting an option from one or both of the other drop-down menus.

In addition, you can search duplicate contacts that start with certain letters or numbers or contain these letters and numbers.

To merge a duplicate contact, select a contact in a group with duplicate contacts found. Now click on the Merge button:

  • If a contact appears in more found groups with duplicate contacts, the contact is merged once based on the order of the groups.
  • Administrations and users cannot be deleted.
  • Persons and companies can be merged with each other.
  • In a group without an administration or a user, the contact created first in Yuki is always kept.

The duplicate contact(s) disappears from the overview.

The data of the contact you want to keep will be supplemented, if necessary, with the data of the other contact.

TIP!

You can also merge contacts from an open contact card. The contact from which you click on the Merge button will be merged with the one you then select in the open selection screen.
