In Yuki submitted documents are processed automatically as much as possible. Besides scanned documents also PDF, Office files and UBL/XML invoices can be processed automatically.
The automatic document processing takes place during the process that is called Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR). This process can classify, index, process and validate documents. This intelligence forms the basis for YUKI RA i.e. YUKI Robotic Accounting.
In order to improve the recognition of documents even further you can also make use of OCR in Yuki. OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition (the reading out of text from an image)).
Based on this recognised data the document type and the contact of a document, among other things, are determined. This doesn't always produce the desired result. Therefore it is possible to create local OCR match rules in a domain in order to further improve the automatic processing rate.
Only an user with the 'Back office' role in the domain or the 'Management', 'Financial administration' or 'External accountant' role can view the OCR match rules.
View OCR match rules
Go through the following steps in order to view all local OCR match rules that hve been created in a domain:
- Click the Archive icon on the navigation bar and then click OCR match rules.
- Click OCR match rules in the entry screen of a document.
The following screen is opened:
All columns in the overview, except 'Project' and 'By' can be sorted in ascending or descending order. Only the completed criteria fields of the OCR match rule are shown as columns in this overview.
You can view all Matches of the match rules by clicking > before an OCR match rule.
Under Matches all documents are shown whereof the data meets the criteria of the relevant OCR match rule.
The Edit and Delete buttons in order to change or delete an existing match rule are only available to an user with the 'Back office' role in the domain.
